Barnsley - Elsecar Men

The memorial tablet in the Holy Trinity Church in Elsecar commemorates 32 men of the parish who fell in WW1. http://www.barnsleywarmemorials.org.uk/2014/04/elsecar-holy-trinity-church-ww1-plaque.html --------------- A book has been by Graham Noble and the Elsecar Family History Society which gives a lot of information about the men listed on the plaque and many other men associated with Elsecar. Records and information can be viewed in the Church on Mondays between 10.30am and 2.30pm, tea and coffee is also available. -------------------- There are also Rolls of Honour from two Working Men's Clubs in Elsecar which remember those who served as well as those who fell. http://www.barnsleywarmemorials.org.uk/2014/05/war-memorials-e.html ------------------------------ If you are having trouble adding information to men in this Community on Lives of the First World War I would be happy to help. ----- Linda Hutton IWM Volunteer barnsleyhistorian@gmail.com
