Barnsley - Blacker Hill Men

Blacker Hill is a small village north of Hoyland but separated from it now by the busy A6195 ring road. The war memorial in Small Park, which remembers 23 WW1 men and one from WW2, was refurbished in 2013. http://www.barnsleywarmemorials.org.uk/2014/03/blacker-hill-war-memorial-small-park.html A downloadable .pdf of research can be found on the Hoyland War Memorial site. http://members.shaw.ca/HWM_site/ ------------------------ If you are having trouble adding information to men in this Community on Lives of the First World War I would be happy to help. ----- Linda Hutton IWM Volunteer barnsleyhistorian@gmail.com
