Knutsfordians

These are people that served in the war who are connected either through residency, and or birth, with the town of Knutsford, Cheshire. They have been identified through the town's war memorials, local history resources such as newspaper articles and research of on line data such as service records and Absent Voters Lists 1918-1920. On the 6th October 2018 Knutsford’s Centennial War Memorial was dedicated. The new war memorial, has been installed to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War I. It was a project led by Knutsford Town Council working with representatives of the Knutsford Royal British Legion. It commemorates Knutsfordians of WWI, WWII, and WWII post war conflict, that are to be found on other memorials throughout the town and those that are not commemorated elsewhere...
