Barnsley - Farrar Street Congregational Church (BAR58) men connected to the Church

There is a marble memorial in the Church on Farrar Street, however it bears no names. Evidence has been found in Barnsley Archives (A/163/3/N) that at least nine men from the Church Fell in Action in the Great War, including six 'Old Scholars' from the Sunday School. A list of 34 men in the Forces at Christmastime 1915 also exists on a church produced greetings card. http://www.barnsleywarmemorials.org.uk/2014/10/barnsley-farrar-street-united-reformed.html ------------ If you are having trouble adding information to men in this Community on Lives of the First World War I would be happy to help. ----- Linda Hutton IWM Volunteer barnsleyhistorian@gmail.com
