Low Moor Explosion - 21 August 1916

In 1916 an explosion took place at the Low Moor Munitions Company in Bradford, Yorkshire. Large quantities of high explosives were being manufactured on the premises, and attempts to bring the fire under control were futile. The official numbers say that 34 people were killed and 60 injured within the works, but others in the area nearby were also wounded, and damage to homes and businesses was extensive. This community aims to gather survivors, victims, rescuers, and all those connected to the tragedy.
