Barnsley - St Peter's Church, Doncaster Road (BAR33) and men from this parish

This small but densely populated parish was formed in 1893 out of parts of St Mary's and St John's parishes (probably). The church is still in existence and inside is a large wooden memorial with 160 names displayed. The memorial was dedicated at the end of June 1921 and some extra names were added in October 1921. As only surnames and initials are listed in many cases it is proving very difficult to firmly establish who the men were. ----- http://www.barnsleywarmemorials.org.uk/2014/01/barnsley-st-peters-church-doncaster-road.html ------ If you are having trouble adding information to men in this Community on Lives of the First World War I would be happy to help. ----- Linda Hutton IWM Volunteer barnsleyhistorian@gmail.com
